Spring 2015, USC Advanced Games Project

ElemenTerra is a fully immersive virtual reality world building sandbox game being developed by a USC Advanced Games Project team of 34 Interactive Entertainment Students.  As the Lead User Experience Designer on this project, I research and prototype game play features.

We plan to explore the potential of virtual reality by giving players the ability to walk, fully immersed, through a world they created with their own hands.  We’re accomplishing full immersion by using the Oculus Rift, the Sixense STEM, and the Virtuix Omni.

We plan on exhibiting ElemenTerra at independent gaming and VR conventions such as IndieCade and VRLA.

Spring 2014, Intermediate Game Development

Bronze Metal Winner of the 2014 International Serious Play Association Awards!

Migration is a sensitive game where the player controls a flock of birds as they travel abstractly through time.  Throughout the game the player becomes increasingly aware of the increased human impact on the surrounding environment.  The player must protect the birds from over exhaustion and also avoid airborne obstacles while traveling through ever-diminishing migratory corridors.
